Autodelta 156 GTA AM | Inspiration

The launch of the beautiful Italdesign-Giugiaro Alfa Romeo 156 in 2003 generated interest for a new Alfa 156 GTA model. By presenting the stunning Alfa 156 GTAm concept, Alfa Romeo had already demonstrated how the impressive Alfa 156 GTA could be developed into a true monster.  Together with the new Giugiaro design, rumours that the high-performance Alfa 156 GTAm was to enter series production gave Alfisti the world over something to look forward to.

Surprisingly, Alfa Romeo decided against launching a new Giugiaro-designed Alfa 156 GTA model.  As a result, the aggressive new-look of the 2004-season Alfa 156 ETCC cars remained out-of-reach for the buying public. It was this open invitation, which prompted Jano Djelalian to develop his own 156 GTA AM (Autodelta Maggiorata) - the ultimate Alfa Romeo 156.

The Autodelta 156 GTA AM is a homage to everything the GTA legend stands for - "A victory a day with the everyday car."
