In terms of performance, the 2.0 Twin Spark turbocharged model pumps out a blistering 225 bhp, with the 0-62 mph (100 km/h) sprint coming in at 5.8 seconds. Meanwhile, power for the 2.5 V6 variant has leapt from 3.3 to a staggering 3.5 litres. This means this Autodelta-modified Alfa 156 boasts 270 peak horsepower, enabling speeds of up to 170 mph (275 km/h).

A budget-priced entry-level version (the 1.6 J11 Junior) produces 180 bhp.
