Hong Kong's unique Autodelta 147 GTA AM 3.7 is really causing a stir, recently proving its dynamic capabilities on the track and continuing to catch the media's attention. Developed and built last year this special bespoke Autodelta model came into existence following a detailed commission from a private customer based in Hong Kong. Keen to maximise the full potential of the Alfa 147 GTA she approached us early last year and having flown to our London HQ to test drive an Autodelta 147 GTA AM 3.7 she immediately gave us the go-ahead.

We offered an update on 14th March reporting also that it had starred on the cover and as the main story in the principality's popular Option 1.2 tuning magazine. Since then this Autodelta 147 GTA AM 3.7 has featured in another leading Hong Kong performance car magazine Option Fans and also been in spectacular track day action.

"I took part track day and with second fastest times I won runner's up cup in the mini 'Super Car' race," the owner tells us.  "I did 5km in 2:04, my fastest time in the car so far, and I was averaging 2:05/2:06 for about 6-7 laps before the very final round which I managed to cut the time to 2:04. I was delighted!  The winning cars were a Ferrari and a Porsche, but they didn't win with pride as the owners gave over their cars to two professional drivers for the final big race. During the earlier rounds I had overtaken both of them so if the race had stipulated owner drivers only, I could well have won the main cup," she adds. "The handling and torque of 'our' car is really so much more superior than the original, I managed to speed it up to 200km/h on the main straight (which comparatively speaking is a very short straight) the cornering is so much more superior, sturdier and faster, the limited slip differential and the higher rev cut off really made a difference, I love this car.

"It turned all heads when I went back to the pits just after the first warm up. Since this was a Hong Kong and China car combo track day, the Chinese were just shocked, I can tell that many simply didn't know what Alfa is. I opened the hood to "breathe" and everyone was looking at the engine to see why it was so fast, and of course they couldn't see anything, but two guys went to the back and saw the 3.7 badge on the rear and they said "So that's why. It's a 3.7 litre engine, so with the car being so light, no wonder it flies."
